Nicholas R. O'Neill

Nick has over a decade of experience in the industry that he calls upon in his role at Grant Street Asset Management (GSAM), where he has been instrumental in steering the firm's operations and technology.  Prior to joining the company, Nick spent a number of years in a senior operational role with a regional, dual-registered investment advisory firm that managed over 4.5 billion in assets, as well as a couple years with an international Investment Manager with over 450 billion in assets as a senior risk analyst, focused on fund risk management and institutional due diligence.  His commitment to a "people-first" philosophy has not only shaped his leadership style, but also the way GSAM engages with both team members and clients.

 

Since joining the company in 2018, Nick has quickly risen through the ranks to his current position, where he oversees a broad range of critical functions across Client Service, Operations & Technology. From managing custodial relationships with leading financial institutions to spearheading the firm's technology strategy, Nick's role is pivotal in ensuring GSAM's operations are seamless and its service offerings cutting-edge.

 

Nick emphasizes, "Listening is key. Understanding our clients' concerns, goals, and values is foundational in tailoring our services to meet their unique needs.  One of the key objectives for us in developing operational strategy is being intentional in how we deploy technology to provide the exceptional level of service our clients have come to appreciate, while enabling our team to spend more one-on-one time with them.  Some things technology will never and should never replace.”  This client-focused approach reflects GSAM's commitment to building deep, lasting relationships.

 

Under Nick's leadership, the client services and technology teams have evolved to embrace more holistic and sophisticated methods.  “Technology is always advancing and changing, and we appreciate our clients’ willingness to embrace it alongside us so we can continue to provide a best-in-class client experience,” Nick notes, highlighting the shift towards digital engagement and real-time access to data and reporting.

Outside of work, Nick's interests are as diverse as his professional skills. An avid golfer and technology enthusiast, he finds balance in spending quality time with family and friends, most importantly his wife Sarah and their two boys, Mason and Maddox who keep him on his toes day to day. His commitment to community shines through his past leadership of a non-profit organization and foundation in honor of his late brother, demonstrating a deep commitment to giving back and supporting others.  He currently serves on the board of a non-profit swim club in his community and coaches youth football.
