Shawn M. Evans

As Senior Vice President of Finance at Grant Street Asset Management, Shawn oversees day-to-day operations within the office, including tax matters, bill paying, human resources, and payroll. Although Shawn often works behind the scenes, his role is pivotal to the company's daily functionality and success.  "I see my position as the administrative backbone of our office, which allows our team the freedom to concentrate on what they do best: serving our clients," Shawn explains.

Shawn, a Penn State University alumnus, also served 26 years in the U.S. Army with multiple tours spanning the globe from South Korea and the Former Yugoslavia to Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring from the military, Shawn joined Grant Street Asset Management where he has been part of the team for over 16 years. His operational expertise was refined through his time in the Army, having served in positions such as military intelligence, recruiting, and combat arms.  Culminated in a profound understanding of strategic leadership and teamwork, Shawn’s unique ability to manage complex situations is an invaluable asset to the firm.

It’s not just about recalling what’s going on in a client’s life.  It’s about having an actual connection with the client and their family.”  This philosophy is beyond a sentiment at Grant Street.  It’s a practice that was started by Shawn’s father and is still exemplified by leadership today.  For Shawn, treating each client like a family member is not a strategy.  It’s a genuine connection that spans across generations of clients.
